What is Gear Score?
Gear Score (Battle Power) is a single number that sums up the strength of your equipment. Every piece of gear contributes a value based on its level, rarity, slot, enchantment and gems; together they form your total Gear Score. The game uses it as the universal yardstick for power — it gates the content you can enter and keeps matchmaking fair.
Regions & Zones
New regions can require a minimum Gear Score before the portal opens.
Dungeons
Story dungeons unlock by character LEVEL. Gear Score is your readiness check — it tells whether you're geared enough to clear the tier.
PvP Leagues
Arena brackets use Gear Score to pair you against comparable opponents.
The Item GS Formula
Item GS = round(itemLevel × 10 × rarityMult × slotMult × (1 + 0.1 × enchantLevel)) + gemBonus
itemLevel — the item level, from 1 to 60.
rarityMult — rarity multiplier (Common 1.0 up to Mythic 7.0).
slotMult — slot multiplier (weapons weigh more than rings).
enchantLevel — enchant level adds +10% per level, up to +10.
gemBonus — flat bonus added per socketed gem by tier.
